Kuwait is a destination to travel to, if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of big tourist places.

A great resort, worth visiting, is the The Sahara Kuwait Resort features a championship quality, 18 hole course. The course was designed by Peter Harradine. Several of the holes are along the Hunting and Equestrian Club. Golfers get a great view of the races, bonus!

If visiting during the summer, be aware that daytime tee-times are going to result in a very hot day. The club has installed floodlights at the holes though, so you can play at night and beat the heat.

The club has separate areas for men and women feature pools, spas, and lounge areas.

Sahara Kuwait Golf Course

At the heart of Sahara, Kuwait is our stunning 18-hole golf course, built to PGA championship standards. Crafted by Peter Harradine, the designer behind golf courses in Doha and Jabal Ali, this charming and challenging course is 6730 yards long and features three lakes and nearly 5000 trees.

Adding to the course's distinctive character are its 12 holes bounded by the race track of the Hunting and Equestrian Club. This serves not only to add a challenging change in topography, but also offers an excellent view of the horse races. In all, nearly 750,000 m3 of sand was removed to sculpt the undulating contours of a course that engages golfers at every level of consciousness.

Famous golf quotes

I'm actually a very quiet person off the golf course. I talk 150 miles per hour when I'm at the course, but when in private I very seldom ever open my mouth.

FORE! Lee Westwood ball ends up in a woman's shirt !!!

This is maybe not news but where the ball landed is incredible..... The ball somehow made it's way into a woman's shirt as seen in the video below.

What would have been funnier is if the lady would have taken a run towards the green and dropped the ball there or even dropped it in the hole :)
